I had this at a friend's house one day for supper and it was so fabulous I want to share it with the world. So, enjoy this! It really is excellent. I am sorry I don't have any pictures of the salad, but it looks deelish.
½ cup apple cider vinegar
2 tbsp poppy seeds
1 tbsp sesame seeds
½ cup sugar
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1½ tsp minced onions
½ cup oil
2 cups fresh strawberries
fresh spinach
Combine vinegar, poppy seeds, sesame seeds, sugar, Worcestershire sauce, and minced onions in blender. Slowly pour in oil while blending to thicken dressing. Wash spinach and tear into bite-size pieces. Hull and slice strawberries. Add strawberries to spinach. Just before serving, add dressing and toss.

on 2009-05-13 02:29 am (UTC)But I was hoping this would be a salad that actually uses strawberry spinach. I have one growing in a pot but it's been ridiculously slow, I don't know why. I'll just have to assuage my impatience with this!
