Strawberry Cheesecake Ice Cream
Ingredients
1 package (8 ounces) cream cheese, softened
1/3 cup heavy cream
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/4 cup sugar
1 teaspoon grated lemon peel
2 cups of whipped cream
2 packages (10 ounces each) frozen sweetened sliced strawberries, thawed
crushed graham cracker crumbs ( optional )
Directions
In a large bowl, beat the cream cheese, cream, vanilla, sugar and lemon peel until blended. Fold in whipped cream and strawberries and graham cracker crumbs. Transfer to a freezer container; freeze for 4 hours or until firm. Remove from the freezer 10 minutes before serving. Yield: 2 quarts.

on 2012-06-23 01:44 am (UTC)One of my favorite combinations is pineapple topping with a 1/2 c. of chopped macadamia nuts and 1 jigger coconut rum. ( leave out strawberries and graham cracker crumbs. )
